Description
Heat pumps works all year 'round, cooling your home in the summer and heating it in the winter. But, unlike a furnace, a heat pump doesn't burn fuel to create heat. It uses electricity to move heat from one place to another. Heat pumps are rated in SEER (Seasonal Energy Efficiency Ratio) and HSPF (Heating Seasonal Performance Factor). SEER and HSPF ratings are like Miles per Gallon rating of automobiles. Higher SEER and HSPF ratings mean greater energy savings.
